Schnadig Limited Upholstery Warranty

The Schnadig Corporation is pleased to offer this Limited Warranty on all upholstered pieces manufactured under the Schnadig ® brand.  The definition of “lifetime” in the warranty information below refers to the life of the original fabric on the frame purchased by the original retail purchaser.  Re-upholstering the frame voids all warranties due to the possibility the internal structural integrity could be compromised during the recovering process.  This warranty does not apply to product that has been subject to abuse, improper care or abnormal use.

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

Frames:
Schnadig warrants our frame construction to be free of defects due to faulty materials or workmanship under normal household use for the lifetime of the product.

Seat and Back Spring Construction:
Schnadig warrants our seat and back spring construction to be free of defects due to faulty materials or workmanship under normal household use for the lifetime of the product.

FIVE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Seat Cushion Cores and Padding Material:
Schnadig warrants our cushioning and padding material against loss of resiliency under normal household use for a period of five years.  Seat cushions, padding and foams will soften and conform to the shape of the user.  This will occur over time with normal use and would not be considered to be defective.

Sleeper Mechanism:
Schnadig warrants our sleeper mechanism to be free from defects due to faulty materials or workmanship under normal household use for a period of five years.

“Maxi-Rest” Sleeper Mattresses:
Should service be required, resulting from a defect due to faulty materials or workmanship, under normal household use, during the first year after purchase, the Maxi-Rest Premium Inner Spring Mattress will be repaired or replaced, at Schnadig’s option, without charge.  Should service be required during the second through fifth year after purchase, the mattress will be replaced and you will be charged a prorated cost of replacement, using the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of a new comparable Schnadig product.  Fold lines that occur with a sleeper mattress are not considered a defect.

ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Upholstery Fabrics:
Schnadig warrants all fabrics under normal household use for a period of one year from the date of purchase against a defect as follows:

  • Yarn separation at the seams
  • Shrinkage
  • Failure of fabric construction
  • Failure to provide normal wear

Schnadig also warrants the fabric for a period of one year from the date of purchase against dye transference, provided the fabric has been cleaned using the instructions prescribed in the cleaning code affixed to the product.  (Caution:  Do not remove any covers for cleaning.)

This warranty does not cover pilling, crocking, wrinkling or fading of the fabrics, which are considered normal under typical household use.  Claims due to cuts, burns, stains, pet damage, improper cleaning and fabrics altered with stain resistant in-store or in-home chemicals or treatments are excluded.  Chemical “after-treatments” on fabrics will void this fabric warranty.  Because of the differences in dye lots and alterations in color over time, Schnadig cannot guarantee the exact match of color shades on fabric repair.  In the case where a recovering is warranted, if the identical fabric is not available, Schnadig will provide a selection of comparable fabrics.  Schnadig reserves the right to inspect all upholstery furniture fabrics when processing claims.

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
